Jerry Simoneaux for Probate Court 1
Thank you for visiting this website to learn more about me and my campaign for judge of Probate Court 1.
Experienced. Knowledgeable. Trusted.
I am an experienced probate trial and appellate attorney whose cases have been cited in Johanson's Texas Estates Codes Annotated and O'Connor's Texas Civil Trials as instructive on complex points of law. I have served as a probate court staff attorney and currently as a part-time associate judge in the Houston Municipal Courts. My full-time job is protecting the rights of the most vulnerable among us as a managing partner of a probate litigation and appeals law firm. I also help people find resolution by avoiding costly litigation as a Certified Mediator. And I am honored to assist veterans at no charge as an Accredited Veterans Administration Attorney.
For many years, I have contributed to the advancement of the legal profession by publishing legal articles and speaking frequently at continuing legal education courses throughout the state. I even found time to teach as an adjunct professor of law at South Texas College of Law for a few semesters. I look forward to my next role and the contributions I will be able to make as your judge of Probate Court 1.
One of the most frequent questions people ask me is "How can I help?", so I have added a section to answer that question. Your help and support are needed and appreciated. Find out more how you can help by clicking here or by clicking on the "How You Can Help" menu button above.
Again, thank you,
We are more poised to win in an off-year election than we have seen in a generation. Every Republican incumbent will have a Democratic challenger, and some challenges will be hotly contested primaries. We are ready to meet the challenge!
On Thursday, June 15, I officially declared my candidacy for Judge of Harris County Probate Court 1 by filing an Appointment of Campaign Treasurer.
